Christmas 2018
« on: December 23, 2018, 12:29:58 PM »
Well, heading out in a little bit to my brothers place, our paternal celebration is this afternoon/evening as people have plans with in-laws, vacation plans and such.

I am a bit more sullen this year...like Thanksgiving...I am wondering more than ever before if this is one of the last peaceful gatherings we may have...hopefully not, but God's Will not mine be done.

I pray that you all have warm happy gatherings with family and friends and enjoy this time together celebrating the birth of Our Lord.

Amen!

We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

My younger brother talked me into going to his house tomorrow. I'm trying my best not to be the clump of coal.

Merry Christmas to all of you and your loved ones

Merry Christmas everyone!

Try not be be sullen or lumpy.  Take the day, the celebration and the family that one can stand as the gifts that they are.  Thanksgiving is not the only day to give thanks.

Have a blessed Christmas folks.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson
