I almost drove off the road today
« on: February 08, 2019, 05:33:51 PM »
I was listening to Rush and he was explaining how what's happening between Bezos and the National Enquirer.

It seems that NE has pictures of Mr. Bezos's pecker that he sent to his mistress. They are being held by a guy whose name is "Pecker" but somehow it's Trumps fault.

So it goes like this Bezos sent pics of his Pecker and are being held by a guy named Pecker and since Trump knows Mr Pecker and he himself has a Pecker so it must be his fault.

Going through life with the surname Pecker... I think that’s a very good justification for legal name change. It’s not like people wouldn’t understand. Hell, you might even be able to talk your whole extended family into changing it... “Look, from now on, we’re gonna be the Johnsons...”

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Or naming your kid Dick.  You're at work, you whip out your wallet, and announce who wants to see pictures of my adorable little Dick?

Father's father came from Italy, he answered to "Deega", so everybody thought it was Anglicized "Dick".

There was a mild competition between two sisters-in-law to name their sons Richard, after Grandpa; my brother won the honor.

Turns out Grandpa's name was Diego, not Richard.

Wonder if his parents considered the first name of "Woodrow"?   Ya know, with the nickname of "Woody".     ::curtsy4::

This adds to the rich broth of irony swirling around Ser Bezos and his Empire!
