What's sad is the rank and file members tend to be very conservative. It's the administrative levels that are the problem.

Depends on the area.  Run into dirty cops in St Paul before, and Minneapolis...and just plain incompetent in Duluth.  And politically agenda-driven critters are everywhere.

The more feral the area the less likely the rank and file are uncontaminated.  Suburban are mixed, my locals for the most part are OK, there's a couple deluded's though.  Even rural you can find a libiot here and there.  But yes everything started with the leadership ranks...like anything once political cronyism and group-think takes hold the rank and file are doomed, any decent ones in the ranks likely older fossil types just looking to make it a few more years till retirement and then it's somebody else's worry.

And in general I think risk comes with city cops more than sheriffs but if the latter county has a fat libiot city at it's core then that can be forfeit as well.

And as stated by many of us before...when the scat hits the fan...these libiots won't be protecting or serving nothing but themselves and their families...their communities will be on their own.
