Doesn't have to be this way.  If we pulled back from places we are no longer needed, especially NATO and Sandland...and if we purged the politically-oriented eco/diversity-contaminated useless beta's from the ranks of the Brass and replaced them with legitimate warriors with intelligence and experience...we could reconfigure our assets, resources and personnel to meet the Chi-Com threat and any other asymmetrical threat.  We have the template, pioneers like John Boyd gave it to us...we ignore it at our own peril.  It pains me to read this...but this is one area of dysfunction among too many areas of dysfunction.  We have more problems than solutions and an intelligent person would conclude this madness is unsustainable and look to pare what can be immediately dispensed with and then prune more strategically and reconfigure and redeploy accordingly.  Alas insanity is the operating system we are running with...
