Amazing what can be done with  no more than will power.  And an entire country behind you.

I had no idea they took sand from Omaha beach and did this...makes sense though, they bought that land!

Obviously not a fan of the person posting this...but the tribute speaks for itself.

I listened to Trump’s speech that day, on my way to pick up my dad to take him to Ontario fishing. Made me weep at parts.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Perhaps like myself it is those moments when a story is told of one who lived through the unbearable...like the story of Ray Lambert and his brother, of Russell Pickett...the grand-daughter who serves as a guide at the cemetery and others who put fresh flowers on the graves.

It wasn't a long speech and didn't need to be, and he may not be a Reagan in delivery but he is in sincerity and I don't think he gets proper credit when it is due but nor do I think he needs it when he knows those to whom it means more to is all that matters.
