The truly sad thing is that any such "cloud" should be built in-house and not have any "Dark Tech" fingerprints on it. But the fedgov is hopelessly inept to tie their shoe laces.

And people refuse to see this. ::pullhair::

What is truly astounding is the same drones that think the latest non-prog pol du juor is Hitler incarnate yet trusts government with more power, more money and will always look out for them no matter what...as long as their statist prog calls the shots...

And the BigGov/E-GOP/RINO/AINO puppets are in the same altered state...believing a Pubbie can better manage the behemoth and that old rules and ethics apply equally to all...

Cognitive dissonance doesn't even begin to cover it...

 ::gaah::

SkyNet/AI whatever you call it simply cannot be allowed to rise...while nominally under questionable control by questionable people is not a comforting thought and once the singularity is achieved the existence of humanity begins its termination.

"Actually, the systems can do better from not having someone intervene," Chung added.

Great, exaflop computing, de-linking humans from lethal military hardware decision making, every device and camera spying on us subservient to totalitarians...and now...a Google engineer says he thinks their LaMDA AI is sentient -

Yeah, sorry...the naysayers of Blake Lemoine's assertion are NOT reassuring.  Asimov's 3 Laws are all we have, nobody has a better set of principles...and if they are in doubt...it's not a good sign...

Ugh...

Swell, maybe bagualu can chat with LaMDA about Marxism and humanity at exaflop speed and it won't end with human extinction...

 ::speechless::

Kill them, kill all the AI's, kill them all...now!

The bot isn't handling the recoil well, and really allows it to aim up.. Its also not very stealthy, takes a while to try and set up a shot, and power will always bee an issue with these things.  I am betting that  thing as a 20 -30 minute max run time.
and a nice foil blanket or a net and it will be f'ing helpless
