This is something I've been thinking about but haven't fully developed into a counter argument:
Second Amendment opponents talk about the sophistication of modern firearms & how they're w-a-y beyond the muskets around which Amendment #2 was crafted.
But the SAME thing could be said about the First Amendment/Freedom of the Press. Today's sophisticated digital communication tools (computers, tablets, cloud storage, instant messaging, social media, etc) are akin to the same advancements in firearms - so screw the MSM's complaints regarding attacks and/or restrictions of press passes, etc.
If the level of sophistication determines whether or not the freedom in question is valid anymore -- then no freedoms are safe.
