Russian Durov did not censor 100 pct to Russia's liking so he fled. There was talk that the real reason was his development of a crypto product that worked with telegram.

He has censored telegram in response to requests from western govts (like removing rt from telegram) but not 100 pct obedience. There is talk  that the west is upset over his crypto product.  He was arrested in France. The charge was not moderating telegram enough so allowing illegal stuff to go on.  Many believe the US was behind France doing this.

I despise the MSM and prefer having video blogs and independent political guests on. The hosts I like (for their guests) are Judge Nap, Dialogue Works, and Neutrality Studies.

Here is a clip from judge Nap. Mostly about the details of the recent Iranian retaliation which was very carefully calibrated.

Judge Nap asks former UK ambassador Alistair Crooke if other countries and leaders, like Putin, try to counter western news and propaganda. In short, they cannot because of the western dominance.

At 25:30 Crooke says he suggested tha a guy at LA Times spend some time with a hezzbolah family in Southern Lebanon and report on this. The guy spent almost a month there and wrote a 10,000 essay. His editor tore it up and said they would never print this.

The lack of reporting bothers me more than govt censorship. Russian govt did not like CNN reporters inside Kursk recently. I do not like the refusal of CNN to allow their reporters in Russian controlled areas. Independent reporters wander where they like in such areas.
