1 Ticket Punched, 1 Ticket to Paradise Remains
« on: September 13, 2019, 11:52:49 AM »
Eddie Money, the prolific singer and songwriter whose songs “Baby Hold On,” “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Shakin'” and “Take Me Home Tonight” soundtracked popular music in the 1980s, died Friday (Sept. 13). He was 70.

RIP

I liked him too. For some reason, I remember buying his & Van Halen's first album on the same day the week they came out (freshman in college @ the time so, probably 1977?). I also thought the Geico commercial with him as a travel agent (everybody got 2 pickets to paradise, regardless of their travel plans) was hilarious!

Just checked - must have been Spring semester - Van Halen was released Feb of 1978.

My life such a living hell right now it is a sad day when I envy the deceased...
