Since we've killed the myth of the recovery, slayed the myth of job growth (a net loss of 2.5m, let The Regime argue that one!  No doubt the "it would have been worse if not for us" BS will be recycled!), continue to obliterate the dollar with QE and other Keynesian parlor tricks, we've opened our eyes to the real inflation kicking our butts in the real things we need to buy despite the Obamites and FedHead's telling us all is transitory or illusory and we keep piling up debt faster than the rest of the world...now we can end the myth of the manufacturing bright spot.

And in related "smartest kids in the class in charge of the economy" news:

Quote
The United States is providing hundreds of millions of dollars of foreign aid to countries that it borrows billions from, according to a report by Congress's research arm.

The Congressional Research Service released a report last month, a copy of which Fox News exclusively obtained, showing that in fiscal year 2010, the latest year that data was available, the U.S. handed out a total of $1.4 billion to 16 foreign countries that held at least $10 billion in Treasury securities, including China ($27.2 million), Brazil ($25 million), Russia ($71.5 million), India ($126.6 million), Mexico ($316.7 million) and Egypt ($255.7 million).

China is the largest holder of U.S. Treasury bonds with $1.1 trillion as of March, according to the Treasury Department. Brazil held $193.5 billion, Russia had $127.8 billion, India owned $39.8 billion, Mexico held $28.1 billion and Egypt had $15.3 billion.

Bring on the stupid. But it goes hand in hand with borrowing money to pay for public sector union pensions, social security, medicare, etc. It's like using your credit card to buy groceries every day and just paying the minimum due each month.

New movie coming out sometime soon...

The Administration is ignoring the data and lying to us about the economy:

Ron Bloom, Mr. Obama's adviser on manufacturing policy, said the slowdown is largely due to "external factors," such as disruptions in supply chains caused by the disaster in Japan and the recent run-up in gas prices. "The long-term trend on manufacturing since the bottom of the recession is quite positive, and I think we remain optimistic that manufacturing has a good future," Mr. Bloom said.

That's called smiling through your tears

When a dinosaur is already stuck so deep in the tar pit that escape is statistically improbable, would you feed it and prolong it's life, let it starve and die or shoot it in the head?

I feel our economic choices are about as good!

The White House downplayed a disappointing May jobs report Friday that showed unemployment inched up to 9.1 percent, with President Obama’s chief economist Austan Goolsbee calling the latest number one of the “bumps on the road to recovery.”

Labor Department data released Friday morning revealed a sluggish economy that added just 54,000 jobs — far less than April’s 244,000 increase.

Mr. Goolsbee said unemployment is still “unacceptably high,” but defended the president’s economic policies as having staved off an even worse outcome.

Wow. I sure am glad that President Toonces got that car out of the ditch and didn't let any Republicans or conservatives have the car keys. Too bad, though, that Toonces is driving the car at break neck speed toward that cliff over there.

It looks more like an elephant that is stuck in the tar pit, there is a bit in it's mouth and the driver is incompetent.
The elephant is smart and strong, he has everything necessary to get out of the pit and recover his wounds, reproduce and enrich the herd.  The elephant's problem is that he is compliant and cedes authority to the idiot driver.
The elephant needs a new driver.

How long in terms of time is the road to recovery. With the recession supposedly ending back in '09 with two consecutive periods of eco growth, minimal as it were, how much longer are these asshats going to tote this highly dubious expression? ::pokeineye::

Hey, gotta love this:

“We’re going to pass through some rough terrain that even a Wrangler would have a tough time with,” Obama said, in reference to the Jeep truck produced at the Toledo plant. The quip was met with boos from the otherwise supportive employees in the audience.

It's pretty sad when a normally supportive constituency boos you.

Hey, Raptavio! Suck it!

Rope, tree, some assembly required.  Just for the lying alone.  The actions taken to get us here deserve something more egregious than I can articulate.
