We all read about the huge amount of money the US spent on Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.
IMO most of that money did not stay in those countries but ended up in the US or Swiss bank accounts.
Some was reportedly routed through Cyprus.
I read one analysis that around 85% of US money sent to Afghanistan did not end up in the country.
I always thought that US money was being spent on foreign countries, not that it was mostly money laundering from US taxpayers into crony pockets in DC.
