Starship SN8 launched today
« on: December 09, 2020, 08:15:20 PM »
The landing  did not go well but it seemed under control until the very end.
It looked not perfectly vertical on landing.
It touched the target in one piece then blew up.

Fuel header tank pressure was low during landing burn, causing touchdown velocity to be high & RUD, but we got all the data we needed! Congrats SpaceX team hell yeah!!

Stuff happens, they'll figure it out make corrections...

Like anything complicated, weakest links have to be exposed...a million things have to be right...just takes one to screw it up...

And pretty sure somebody saw that data and said..."hmm, this might be an issue"...
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

The above launch with comment with commentary. He explains things like the extra flames in the engine bay and the green flames toward the end. The extra flames were from the excess fuel after an engine cuts off and was expected. The green flames toward the end are due to the oxygen rich fuel burning up the engine inside which has some copper.
There was too little fuel in the mixture toward the end due to low pressurization.
