If I pay you $300K and we count it and agree its $300K
and then you discover that $100K of that is counterfeit bills, then I paid you $200K.
The fact that when you count the money again its still $300K when you count the counterfeit bills as legitimate does nothing to change the fact that 100K of the bills are not legitimate.
