Yup, London sits at 51d30m N, just a bit south of that in Canada sits Calgary...in Alaska, Adak city on Adak Island sits just south of 52d N...the same as the Middle of Wales...Moscow lies near 56d, that's near the middle of Scotland.  Yeah, so not good sun angles in winter...oh, and they get weather too.

I love that garage door scene...albeit not usually at that depth, but with drifts in these parts it happens...but like Duluth, Buffalo and places like that getting "lake effect" snow (it's just more moisture...more cold...you know a math & science thing) it's not "uncommon"....

I remember shoveling (pre-snowblower days I was the snow blower) feet of snow...later snowblowing in a snowstorm and getting a lot if it back in the mush...

All these years later...folks everywhere still getting lots of snow...lots of winter...

We've had snow on the ground here for a week...

PS - Pet Peeve Alaert - I hate those jackasses that do not clean off their cars and go down the road with mountains on them that blow snow on their fellow citizens and think its funny!
