In the original post you will note that ours is relatively modest compared to the Russians and Chinese and if not for Trump putting an emphasis on it we wouldn't even have what we have.  Their HGV system is different than our HAWC's scramjet system, the big ones being payload and delivery...oh and speed, maybe...I need to know about about their propulsion, 21k MPH seems exaggerated, that's over Mach 28 vs our current Mach 5 or 3,705mph (which may be low according to US DOD SOP)...either way, that's a big gap whose reality is up for grabs...but bottom line we are playing catch up at a dangerous time under a dangerous group of statists...

A total economic collapse may be more merciful to the world and the oppressed natives here...
