It does not matter that the shrine commemorating the 632 descent of Mohammed to the depths of Hell is mistaken as the site of the Second Jewish Temple (it's not, that is likely rubble atop the First Temple rubble and true site of Judaic religious origins in the more ancient City of David) and instead is part of Herod's Fortress Antonia which may have also contained Pilate's Praetorium and under Hadrian included a Temple to Jupiter which is the more likely origin of the "Temple Mount" designation...but the mere act of the Unnecessary Nations to inject world politics favoring a people that never existed is a disingenuous way to pick one people and one religion over another and virtually guarantees the next way they are stoking creates more rubble on the site.

Good for Israel. If they give up Golan Heights they get artillery shells dropped on their heads.  Period.

Many other Muslim countries are tired of the Palestinians.
I read a good book or two about the Golan Heights  tank battles in the October War. Real touch and go.  It could have gone either way. The Syrians had better tanks.Tanks could be next to each other at night and not know which side the other tank was from. The Israelis lived in their tanks for days.

The story of the Egyptian Army in the October War is an amazing piece of military history. They achieved every goal quicker than imagined and with fewer casualties. The took over the East side of Suez, dug in, and waited for a truce. Their president forced them to advance to help the losing Syrians by drawing off Israeli forces. That allowed the Israelis  to beat them. There is a good movie The Angel, about a double or triple agent leading up to the October War.
