The base vote is the key.  Huckabee took the evangelical vote, who can correctly understand whether they will go with Romney over another candidate.   By choosing Huckabee when he was obviously going to lose illustrates they are not the most critically observant voters.  (sigh)

6/17/11 - Here is video of GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann speaking at the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans where she slammed President Obama's radical Environmental Protection Agency for seeking to tell Americans how to live their lives.

Bachmann particularly underlined a bill she has introduced to allow Americans to buy whatever light bulb they want to buy! She pledged: "President Bachmann will allow you to buy any light bulb you want in the United States of America!"

'Scuse me for nitpicking .....

However ....

I'd feel more confident she understood the Constitution and the president's place in the scheme of things if she had vowed as president she'd prevent the Feds from agency bureaucrats to congress from having any say at all over light bulb choices.

As president, it's not her place to "allow" us to do anything, nor to forbid it.
