I heard one of the talk radio hosts today mention that the union signs said "It's About Freedom".  I had forgotten that, otherwise I would have mentioned it.

ETA:  Well I guess they can have the slogan, since we're no longer using it...   ;D

We are so far past and beyond the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that the Colonists and Founders experienced and which necessitated the Revolutionary War that they aren’t even visible in the rear-view mirror.

They can have it. If I was forced by semantics to choose a preference between freedom or liberty, I choose liberty. Liberty comes with the responsibility of vigilance against oppression. Freedom is taken for granted.

These pukes are free to enslave themselves to government and forsake their liberty if that's how they want to use their freedom. I'll use my God-given liberty to fight them until my last breath.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Exactly.  The Founders mostly spoke of liberty, not freedom.

Saw a little of this earlier; thought, Somebody is own our side.
What a piece of luck- I don't think so, it wasn't luck.

According to Harry Reid that's why they built the guest center at the nation's capitol...so he wouldn't have to smell the tourists.

And I will take this opportunity to say that I am glad I got to tour the WH when it was being operated by GWB.  Don't think I would be able to stand the odor of corruption that must be rather pervasive there now.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

The stench at Madison has to be horrendous!  Sweaty union thugs oozing with hate, grungy hippies reeking of urine and BO and other sundry proglodyte eminations coelescing into one rank stench!   ::speechless::   ::puke::

They will have to call in professionals!

We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
