If Dallas getting down to a predicted 22 and Houston in the 30s is all it takes than put a sock in it.  Texas is done.

I get the liberal catechism from my sister. You can't blame the wind and solar because they should have built the turbines for winter and also if only TX had been connected to the grid outside of TX .....

I never spent the time to drill down but I read that the EPA forced the gas compressors to run off electric rather than the gas inside the pipelines.

Hopefully some lessons were learned last time.
1. Do rolling blackouts earlier rather than let the grid  drop and force some electric producers to drop off the grid.
2. When you do the rolling blackouts do not cut off the electric producers or the gas compressors.
When the law becomes a ruse, lawlessness becomes legitimate. -unknown

Also, last time the electricity the week before was about 42% wind and solar, not the amount reported in the press.
One problem is that the electric producers are paid only for production and they do not have to guarantee anything.
If they had to guarantee then the wind and solar people would have to pay for gas turbine back ups which would cost them money.

OK, back to stating the obvious...

Kinda what Todd is hinting at - You are supposed to be Texas for frack's sake, start acting like it...rediscover your man-parts, fix your damn infrastructure, ditch the ass-tarded useless waste of investment eco-fool green BS and tell fedcoat regulators to go screw themselves as often as possible...and make arrangements to connect to neighboring providers to buy/sell power when needed (like practically everybody else has been doing for decades!) and pay 100% of the hardware required for the connection to get it done fast.
