https://amp.washingtontimes.com/news/2023/jan/2/matt-gaetz-says-kevin-mccarthy-unable-convince-gop/

We shall see about this "miracle"...I myself remain exceedingly skeptical.

And, I thought about this as I began my day today...it would not be the worst scenario if the people who care about Founding Principles broke away from the GOP...it would force the old dying GOP to meet our demands in shooting down any legislation desired by the DemoCommies...and to pass any legislation desired by us...there is no longer a reason to let the majority bully the minority...time for the minority to be a royal pain in the ass.

And then I came across this...

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/trump-suggests-he-may-run-third-party-ticket-2024

And in perfect timing, this...

https://twitter.com/jeremycarl4/status/1609288285876260864

We do not need the Cucks...the time is ripe to break from the old traitorous decomposing GOP and forge a new path based upon Founding Principles.

I for one am totally done with the Cucks!

On that last point above...

See this asshole?

::doublebird::  him and everybody like him!

Unreasonable demands?

List them, explain what is so unreasonable you insufferable Cuck!

Guess what, Cucks?  You are failing...and want to fail some more!

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/bullst-mccarthy-bid-house-house-speaker-devolves-chaos

"I've earned this job," said McCarthy, after running through everything he's done to become speaker - to which Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) reportedly shook his head, according to Punchbowl News' Jake Sherman.

"This is bullsh*t," said Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) in response to McCarthy's speech.

Amen, Sister!  DO NOT give in to these losers!  If a line is not drawn now, it's all going into the sewer anyway...drain the swamp...one step at a time...there can be no retreating.

We've had enough.

My youngest, now 52, still has him. Kinda disheveled but in one piece. There are enough morons to push Jeffries over, note the dems are in lockstep.

Still, need a majority of the House, not a plurality...well until they decree that different...so the Cuck's would have to join in voting for Jeffries...and they should, they are scum-sucking Quislings who should stop lying to people!!!

On to round 3 I hear...

Time to start voting for Trump and really stick the knives into the Cuck bastards?!?!?!   ::whoohoo::

Anyway...who are you going to believe, these ethically-stunted Cucks...or people calling them out?

Who really conspires with DemoCommies?

https://twitter.com/stillgray/status/1610458722735902720

It is said to have involved getting enough Dems to vote present to allow a lower number needed to get McCarthy in...but it cannot be lowered too much or they'll get Jeffries elected!

Also, chatter about a power-sharing deal, which I presume means throwing us under the bus yet again.  We know who the gutless Quislings are!!!

In the meantime, get that effing squatter out!

McCarthy was instrumental in shivving Steve King, so he's a back-stabbing weasel.  I hope Gaetz and Company know what they're doing 'cause this could backfire badly in the form of Jeffries.

At what point do the "majority" looking to sink fast or slow with McCarthy are recognized as being in total denial...?

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/house-gop-crisis-mccarthy-teeters-despite-trump-endorsement

...wanting to cut & run in order to throw dissidents into dark rooms to be bullied and extorted until they relent and accept their new master the already bought and paid for "majority" has chosen for them is the only way out...versus finding a consensus candidate all can be pleased with that can pass on the next ballot...

Is Trump the roadblock?  Is his (no idea why?) endorsement of McCarthy the sticking point?  Perhaps he needs to weigh in.

Where's the "majority"?  (Crickets)

Where's Paul Ryan's Faux Newz?  (Crickets)

Daily Beast supports McCarthy for Speaker....

Karl Rove supports McCarthy for Speaker....

Paul Ryan supports McCarthy for Speaker....(edit: this line covers Fox and Hannity)

Mitt Romney supports McCarthy for Speaker....

Dan Crenshaw supports McCarthy for Speaker....

Liz Cheney supports McCarthy for Speaker....

Adam Kinziger supports McCarthy for Speaker....

Does any more need to be said?

Meanwhile another McCarthy acolyte threatens members with stripping them of committees and primarying them next time...

Steve Bannon: Mike Rogers from Alabama threatened conservative lawmakers on Tuesday. Rogers warned conservatives in conference meeting, “Anybody who votes against McCarthy we’re stripping you of your committees’ Basically to the folks back home, screw em. And we’re going to get you primaried.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/01/fireworks-gop-elite-warns-conservative-vote-mccarthy-stripped-committees/

I don't think The Butthead, any Cuck or DemoCommie could say it any different...

Yeah, masks dropping everywhere...

On to round 4...

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/01/breaking-rep-chip-roy-nominates-rep-byron-donalds-speaker-house/

And McCarthy has failed again...Donalds has 20 votes...the defections continue...

This is starting to look narcissistic...at what point does the nations interest rise above personal desires?  He cannot win...it's a consequence of being weak, of being an opportunist...of not being a leader...

As for this...

...the border, term limits and deficit are "petty"...

...seems right in line with what DemoCommies believe...

Good to know, huh?

Plus...I should not have to point out that such assurances as have been sought...are pledges...unsigned and un-notarized pledges...

So, guess he doesn't even want to be a one-Congress Speaker...

Starts up again Noon ET...

Matt isn't wrong, gaming the rules has always been one of the key ways the establishment uses to run roughshod over members...

No alligators in charge of The Swamp!   ::clapping::

Amen!

And, ahem...start hammering these lunatics (Hannity you script-reading pantywaist, pay attention here!) defending McCarthy, ask them why a narcissist who cannot be elected Speaker and who refuses to step aside for the sake of the nation and the party should earn their support any longer?!

 ::vafancoul::

In other news...this is a good start - https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2023/01/04/house-republicans-remove-nancy-pelosis-metal-detectors-and-other-optics-intended-to-support-j6-extremism-narrative/

But no business in the House should move forward once the Speaker and leadership and membership assignments have been made until the political prisoners in the DC Gitmo are released!!!

The thing I can’t figure out is why aren’t more Republicans bailing on McCarthy. There are more than 20 hard-line conservatives in the House. I wonder how many of them are staying on the rez because President Trump endorsed McCarthy.

The “concessions” McCarthy is offering are nothing. Putting a five-members threshold on a “motion to recall the speaker” doesn’t mean he’s ever gonna get thrown out. Once he’s speaker, all he needs is backdoor deals with a few Dems to make sure it can’t happen. And anyway, without signed contracts, these “deals” are piss in the wind.

The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I would bet big money that there are Republicans in the house right now who would rather have a Democratic speaker controlling the Republican majority, then to have a conservative speaker.

You are correct, promises from chameleons mean nothing.

This reeks of McConnell and The Butthead...if there is blame to throw on so-called "extremists" that is fine with them no matter what happens to the nation.
