Harry P. "Bud" Grant, 95

An icon has passed on.  I loved the old Vikings and Bud, growing up Joe Kapp was my favorite player, not the most gifted or flashy QB who could throw perfect spirals, most of his passes looked like wounded ducks...but he was tough.  The defense was tough, the O-line was tough, everybody was tough.  At the center of it all was Bud.  His story from college to Canada and back to Minnesota and the HOF...doing it his way all the way...I don't think it could happen again in the world of today.  He defined an era and my childhood into adulthood.  A solid human being and legendary figure, but many of that generation were, all I know is Bud stood out from the rest.

R.I.P. Bud.

We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
