I am back to watching video blogger content from Russia. I have watched Bald and Bankrupt before, also Eli from Russia, maybe Britanica guy. Now this Brit Jonny Tickle is much more concise.

Moscow compared to rest of Russia.

I’m stood today in Red Square, the Russian symbol, to talk about a topic which comes up so often here. If you ever find yourself with a Russian not from Moscow, and you tell them you visited Russia because you visited the capital, you’re guaranteed to hear one thing - “Moscow is NOT Russia.” This is even a common comment on my youtube videos from provincial Russians who think I have never left Moscow, even though it’s not true.   Why do many Russians believe Moscow, and to a certain extend St Petersburg, is not Russia?

Over my last few transiberian train videos, many of you have asked to see the inside of Russian Trains, so over the next 3 days I’m gonna show you a few clips from inside 3rd, 2nd and 1st class cabins over three different videos. In this video I’m gonna talk you through third class. Let’s take a look!

An Englishman in Khabarovsk

I plan to visit every single oblast, krai and republic in Russia before I leave.

This is number 19: The city of Khabarovsk in Khabarovsk Krai

Today I’m in the city of Khabarovsk. Khabarovsk is the capital of Khabarovsk Krai and is only 30km from China. Khabarovsk is the largest city in the Far East with over 600k people and is the 26th biggest city in Russia.

Heh, people everywhere resent being dismissed as fly-over country or assumed to be less in any way to big city snobs...

As for those two cities...if I was forced to choose I would much rather visit St. Petersburg over Moscow...heck, Vladivostok would be better than Moscow IMO...

But I am not going anywhere...

As for trains, 1st class or nothing...

Unless it's Amtrak in which case nothing is a smart option...

This is interesting. The criticisms of Moscow are not all true. Amusing. Also, earlier migrants to Moscow look down on more recent arrivals from the same place. Moscow is a nice city from the videos I have seen.

There is a common pattern in many European (and not only European) countries - residents of other cities do not like the residents of the capital. And vise versa. The same thing can be found in Russia. Muscovites are considered lazy, arrogant and annoying. But, most importantly, most people outside of Moscow think that our capital lives at their expense. That all the taxes from Russia are collected in Moscow and then are spent on its improvement. Meanwhile, the rest of Russia is drowning in poverty. Let's discuss this problem today - Is Moscow robbing Russia? Or Russia is just an over-centralized country?

IMO the short video on Moldova at the end is worth watching. In short, under USSR it was a well kept place. Now it has been looted. That happened to Russia under Yeltsin also. Then Bald goes to the Tranistyria. I found  some more videos, some from others so I may revisit Moldova soon and post. Some video titles dispute Bald's conclusions.

I obtained most of my information on the Ukraine war early through telegram posts.
Especially Mariupol video clips. It is possible they are CGI or actors but the sources are too diverse and I believe them more than any govt. Civilians and army on all sides like to post on social media and it tells something about themselves.

I also believe what I see and hear on many video blogs. I watched Bald and Bankrupt and noticed that sometimes people would say that life was better under USSR. I thought this was crazy, as I 'knew' better. I have never set foot in Russia.

Recently came across some polls or referendums where people wanted to remain in the USSR, but I noticed this was not the result. I just scratched my head. Those people who voted that way may have right?

I came across this long doc from Australia I think. 1984 USSR. It seems real hokey but real. Something good has been lost. I think they reclaimed some of that without the bad. Some of this sounds like propaganda but I notice what they ere pushing. Workers.

🇲🇩 Moldova is the least visited country in Europe. And so I came to its capital city Kishinev to see why...It did not take long to find the answer. Years of theft and corruption by politicians has left the locals of the country tripping up on broken pavements and walking past abandoned buildings on their way to collect their 40 Euro pensions.

The parts he showed seem orderly? He did not show much inside in Moldova outside this region?

Yes...so much to miss about the USSR...little/bad food, presumed guilty always, no gun ownership, free train rides to Siberia, pogroms and millions executed...

Ahh, the good 'ol days...
