Kinda cute video clip
https://t.me/ForeignAgentIntel/9785
A family of nomads from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug traveled 150 km on a snowmobile to vote in the Russian presidential elections.

Andrei Khudi, his wife and two children live in chum tent in the tundra; during the period of early voting, a helicopter flies to them and brings them ballots. According to him, this year the helicopter did not have time to fly to the Nadym district, where they were staying. So family decided to go there themselves. They set out on a snowmobile early in the morning and in an hour and a half drove to the site in the village of Yar-Sale in time for its opening.

“It is imperative to elect a president, because the quality of our lives depends on it,”-said Andrei Khudi’s wife.

Putin Wins Transparent Russian Reelection, Biden Calls it a Dictatorship – Zelensky Cancels Ukraine Elections, Biden Calls it a Democracy

I have issues with Putin, I have concerns with the lack of opposition party viability...but I have no illusions of the Russian psyche either...and no matter how you cut it that headline should make Americans go "Uhh, WTF?!".

Hi, I just want to ask, given that Muslim peoples have always lived in what is now Russia for generations, is it true that Russians are much more friendly to Muslims compared to Western Europe (where Muslim presence is more recent due to immigration) or India under current Prime Minister Narendra Modi?

Russia is the second most-read country in the world, Putin said:

"Today, Russia ranks second in the world in terms of the amount of time its citizens spend reading. China is in first place and Spain is in third".

VERY INTERESTING
Sachs describes a book he read.
https://www.amazon.com/Genesis-Russophobia-Britain-Historical-Hardcover/dp/0674281098/

RU and Britain were on the same side in the Napoleonic wars. What happened? NOTHING RU did.
Britain had an empire and was threatened by the very existence of another large country.
So they generated fear of RU including fear of Russia invading India.

Well, Russophobia like any phobia cannot exist in a vacuum...so, logically there is also Anglophobia, Ameriphobia, Europhobia...

Or it is all just a BS crutch used by small minded fools...

I am part way into a book on Russophobia.
https://www.amazon.com/Creating-Russophobia-Religious-Anti-Putin-Hysteria/dp/0997896523
He starts off going into lots of examples where there is a massive double standard in recent history and reporting where Russia is concerned. Many examples. Western reporting on the Sochi Olympics is an embarrassing hatchet job. Too many examples to repeat.

The local mayor said there were no gay activists in Sochi. So the MSM left off the last word to quote he said there were no gays. Then they removed his interview with the manager of a local gay bar. Over and over.

he includes lots of reporting on the Beslan school massacre. Almost zero empathy just bashing Russians.

The next part deals with history and the schism. The split got worse starting 1054. The byzantine church and court was very civilized when the west was fairly barbaric. Western royals went there in search of marriage partners. There were later attempts by the western churches to re-unify the Orthodox by force. Invasion from the west and through the baltics.

The Russians were characterized as expansionist and barbaric when the west was colonizing the world. One reason given aside from religion is that they look like us but they are not us so something is wrong with them. The orthodox did not send out missionaries.

The Mongols were invading from the east so the Swedes picked that time to invade I did not know that about the battle on the ice.

No. It turns out that Russia as the bogey man goes back long before the SMO. I am just learning about.

I have not gotten that far in the book yet. On YT I heard that it goes back in UK to around 1840. UK liked RU help in beating Napoleon but then decided there was only room for one empire on the planet. So they started making stuff up not based on RU actions.
E.g. RU had plans to invade and conquer India. Also, Poland and others created a fake will/testament for Peter the Great having his plans to conquer Europe or some such.

I heard that US tranny who was the official eng language spokesperson for Ukr govt say that Russians are mongols while Ukr are European and Russians are a slave race that need to be led. I just got to that part in the book. That is hundreds of years old in the west. Another is that the RU czars are despots needed to control the RU but also they re a meek slave race and easy to lead.

China and Japan have both gone to war with RU and border them  but they do not share the European stereotypes. That is weird.
It just seems that the Russia hatred is way beyond reasonable I so I wanted the history.

Some guy wrote a 1950 Harvard PhD on Russo-phobia apparently turned into a 1962 book. I have a request for inter library loan for that.

Quote
Whence, then, the rabid Russophobia that characterised British public discourse after WWII? He debunks the notion that the British Russophobia originates in the inter-imperial rivalry (there was no severe clash of imperial interests, the “Great Game” legend notwithstanding). According to Professor Gleason, a good part of it was due to internal ideological and political polemics, fueled both by journalistic demagogues and representatives of some limitrophe states such as Poland. It is fascinating to compare the anti-Russian political and media campaign of that time with what goes on right now in the US, for example.

And yet the Brits were penetrated first by the Russian Communist contagion...so some went from so-called "haters" to "traitors" pretty damn easy...

And now days I see the long-suffering Russian psyche exploiting weaker minds to feel sorry for them as an avenue to convert them into Russophiles...

Yes, Russia is so superior to all other nations on the face of this Earth they cannot fend off the people begging to belong to it...

So tired of the word "hate" being bandied about casually...

Ask German Jews what hate really is...ask those shipped off to Siberia or shot in the woods or the basement of the Lubyanka under Stalin what hate is...ask the victims of Pol Pot what hate is...the victims of North Korean Un reign of terror...etc etc...

Poor fricken Russians?

Pah!
