Electro-magenetic energy arrives with the speed of light, about 8 minutes 20 seconds...High-energy particles about 2 minutes later...a CME impact takes longer - 2-3 days.

Timing-wise there is issues with the flare blame here...so it may well be a cyber-attack prepping for a larger encore...

Or...they merely wanted to drive down the cell companies stocks...they are all down, even the unaffected...so somebody needs to look at who the shorter's are!

Sounds a little too non-specific boilerplate shizzle...

I remain, skeptical...

WilliamVA:
Well it appeared to be a wee bit to specific to be a solar flare.  I am on the east  coast, (VA south of DC), and every thing worked fine.
Wife said one of her game showes, I think on NBC flickered a bit.    My cell phone is AT&T, and it was stable all day.

benb61:
I heard somewhere that Verizon and another Cell provider (cant recall which) have been hardening their systems against solar activity, so there is that.

WilliamVA:
I have AT&T Cell Phone service, I received an apology message from AT&T over the weekend.  My service was never affected.
