I don't remember any President using the power and influence of his office and campaign machine in any way relative to this. He really sees himself as an agent of transformative change, and he's built his life's mission around the idea of "change" only being possible after dismantling and destruction of what exists. I think if people really knew what this guy has in mind, his support would erode down to about 15% - the hardcore commies and the underbelly of society.

ObamaCamp!
Organizing for America Will Deploy Young Cadres on ‘Summer Organizing Fellowships’

As Winter turns to Spring, President Barack Obama’s campaign organization is setting its sights on the Summer to recruit and train an army of new community organizers, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Presumably, Organizing for America’s efforts to “strengthen our democracy” will likely also coincide with Obama’s re-election plans in 2012. However, the latest recruitment message from OFA goes beyond politics and campaigning to emphasize plans for a new military-style boot camp for grassroots organizers, a “program that aims to put boots on the ground and help foster a new generation of leaders — not just to help win elections but to strengthen our democracy in communities across the country.”

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Two things.

First and less important, what colleges are granting college credit for this crap so parents know who the hell to avoid?!

Second and more important, this is really upping the ante and this politically partisan Administration-led "army" can only lead to more confrontations like we are seeing now in the Midwest and as such is going to errode so-called tone and behavior to new lows...

This is nothing short of creating ObamaBot Brownshirts, swelling their members and bully opponents (that's you and I, taxpayers, citizens!) into submission!

Obama and the Left truly want blood flowing openly in the streets!  I am getting more and more convinced of this!

Damn them all!  Damn them all to hell!

Remember, four boxes keep us free:
The soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

One of the best scenes in the history of cinema, IMHO. Absolutely fascinated me as a child (I got it, even then), equally as an adult. Charlton Heston on the beach is an important cultural icon, beyond cinema.

Made me think of Tommy's Holiday Camp.  I won't post the details for obvious reasons but you can look it up on wikipedia.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.
