Media fail, Michele Bachmann edition
« on: June 26, 2011, 08:24:35 AM »
It's just fun following the links on this one.  What it comes down to is that boy Rolling Stone hired to do a hit piece of Bachmann either just made it up as he went along (Stillwater is a Wasilla full of wingnuts  ::hysterical::) to plagiarizing all those hard working Bachmann stalkers here in Minnesota.

And as a bonus, one of the factoid he made up wasn't really made up, but has the fellow limousine liberals of Stillwater in an uproar.  That Stillwater is an extremely White town.  Don't tell the Airhead contingent of the left that one!

By the way, Stillwater, MN Population = 15,143
Black = 48

Fox Host Apologizes for Bachmann 'Flake' Question

Quote
Wallace said on the Fox show that Bachmann had a reputation in Washington for making questionable statements and asked her: "Are you a flake?"

Is he going to ask Duh Wun, if he gets a chance, "are you a marxist"?

Who in Washington has been saying that?  Wallace's friends??

it's all about getting the idea out there

since the media has established Palin isn't too bright they wouldn't want
any support to drift to Bachmann

The "Bachmann's a flake" bullspit has been circulating around in various places for a while now, so it isn't just Wallace et al.

Got a local Republican woman activist posting on our board (Romney adorer) that Bachmann is stupid.

She's been under attack by all the usual hacks back here in Minnie over the years, she's got good duck feathers, she just plows ahead and is very good about putting opponents on their heels and push the debate her direction.  Wallace's Washington bit gave voice to haters who could have been left out of the equation...I think maybe he intended to use their personal attack as an opportunity to give Michele a platform to slap back at them, and I bet if he was honest he'd admit it was a mistake to utter it as soon as it left his lips.  Time will tell if this does any real damage, the leftnuts who hate any conservative, especially a female conservative, will hate her no matter what, so forget them.  It's the stinking Rovian ilk in our midst that will try to make hay with this, and let the MFM provide them cover.  It's those SOB's that need to be dealt with!

Hadn't heard this yet in my part of the world....but I haven't been around any RINOs lately...

Wallace's rude question was a gift to her.  It enabled her to show her stuff and she did.  Think of the others in the contest, I can see some bug eyes and dropped jaws and hear a misstatement or two.

Dang, 'ol Leg Thrill got me to thinking...

 ::thinking::

Wouldn't it be cool if the Repub nominee replicated Duh Wun's Greco-Roman stage except have it crumbling and unemployed starving people laying about and graffiti all over the place...

"We're not going to let Obama destroy what's left of this nation!  We're going to undo the damage and get back on the right path"...

How sweet would that be?

In hindsight, I wonder if a response like this might've served her well...

Quote
"Well, I don't know Chris. Maybe in that alternate universe where we have 57 or 58 states, or where paraplegic congressmen can "stand up Chuck" - maybe there I'm a flake. But her in the real world, I'm a serious candidate for President of the United States, and I'd appreciate it if you'd stick to the issues going forward."

BAM.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Which is what I kind of think is the only way out of her current dilema.

You're right Cwissy.  I brain farted big time with that one.  About the only way that would could have stunk any more is if I screwed up which of the 57 states John Wayne was born in.

Of course, I could be wrong, and I'll always admit when I am, as even I underestimate just how stupid today's left can be.  What does a news anchor do, when given a gift horse he can bash Bachmann with?

Go after the foster children, of course]

Georgie Streptococcus is just another pathetic failure who in the absence of a leftist MFM would be lucky to find a job as a copy boy in a backwater newspaper shop.

I would have asked him "Are you saying you or people you know in the media are going to investigate my children?  Was this SOP media treatment of Obama's kids?  What really are you trying to say?"

Punk-ass commie bastard!
