Worst, most despicable gaffe ever?

Awful… President Obama Makes Horrible Mistake Dishonoring Medal of Honor Winners (Video)

This was absolutely awful.

Barack Obama made another horrible mistake today.
The president visited the 10th Mountain Division today and congratulated them on their service. Then he told the soldiers that he had given the Medal of Honor to Jared Monti who came back from Iraq alive.
Jared Monti was actually killed in Iraq in 2006.
How sad.
[blockquote]“First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.“[/blockquote]
Blackfive caught the president’s horrible gaffe.
[blockquote]As we all know, SSG Sal Giunta, of the 173rd Airborne, was the first living recipient (2011) of the MOH who fought in Iraq/Afganistan. SFC Jared Monti, 10th Mountain Division, was KIA in Afghanistan in 2006. He was posthumously awarded the MOH by Obama in 2009.

How does the Commander-in-Chief mix these heroes up? He put that medal around Giunta’s neck and he stood with Monti’s parents as they grieved.[/blockquote]

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

President Bush didn't make this kind of mistake. Not because he was immune to mistakes, but because he took his solemn responsibility as Commander in Chief very seriously. It was in his heart to make sure that those in uniform were honored and aware of his respect for them at all times in all circumstances. To this day he continues to demonstrate his respect for them and his awareness of their sacrifice and the consequences of his decisions.

Obama is the POTUSINO. He commands no respect, and gives none. He is a piece of living sh*t.

This is the kind of sh*t that happens when you don't give a rat's ass about anything other than golf. Another "Airplane" moment, "What and asshole!"

Exagerating with the "worst ever" tag won't feed a child or house a poor homeless soul.

Besides, it's not like Obama got the story of Paul Revere right or anything....  ::unknowncomic::

The most dispicable gaffe ever was when the Obastard was made Commander In Chief.

The only living MOH winner in a long, long time and the Obastard awards him with it.  It means so little to this ego maniac that he can even remember the simplest basic details about the man.  No doubt he was thinking how much he deserved the medal instead.

I happen to think that awarding the MOH to SSG Sal Giunta should be something he should have remembered.

But this also means his staff got it wrong too...he has no interest in any of this and depends on people who also don't care....

Administrations take on a character much like the person at the top, since all key department heads (requiring confirmation which is all too often ceremonial only!) and unelected/non-confirmed advisors are all appointees, this in not unexpected.  But I would argue that most American's not comprising the 1/3 batsh*t-crazy hard left, would be horrified at the character of corruption, crony-capitalism, rank partisan administration of policy and taxpayer largess and openly hostile attitudes toward business, conservatives, whites, the wealthy non-elite and Christians...that is if the MFM ever reported on it...only a small minority of us know the true nature of this Regime and bother disclosing its nefarious actions!
