NoBalz desperately wants his Stolen Valor issue to go away, his latest plea that "nobody should denigrate another's service" is a disingenuous attempt to kill a story he repeated often about his legitimate rank in the Army NG...on its face his plea would be true IF A PERSON WHO SERVED NEVER CLAIMED A RANK THEY DID NOT EARN NOR CLAIMED COMBAT WHERE NONE OCCURED!!! And bailing on your troop as they are about to be deployed so you can run for Congress, while not a lie, is a betrayal of your comrades...he cannot claim a moral high ground on this, one cannot even compare the role of Congressman over the role of a warrior in a war zone...the latter is worth any dozens of politicians!
HIS LIE does not give him a get-out-of-Stolen-Valor-free pass!!!
THAT is what he fails to understand, THAT is why this issue is not going away, THAT is why it animates Veterans so viscerally!
I wear military affirming t-shirts and hats, and if not I am wearing a different hat with my mini ribbons on it, some pins...not for myself, but for other Veterans to recognize and start up conversations with and to simply honor all who served/are serving honorably.

If they cannot do that, IMO then there should be a petition process of a sufficient number of Veterans to have the DoD revoke their previous Honorable Discharge status to Dishonorable!
