Texas Legislature Passes Revised TSA Pat Down Bill
« on: June 28, 2011, 11:43:11 AM »
I think even in this form there is enough to start restraining these perverts, I wish it was stronger, but let's see how the TSA responds and if they can come up with a reasonable "reasonable suspicion" standard that allows them to feel up little boys and girls, grope cripples and old men and make grandma drop her Depends!

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Not only did they water it down they nixed the Sanctuary City bill.  His name is Joe Strauss, speaker of the house, selected by 100% of the Democrats & 16% of the RINOs.  He must be a sorry piece of work.
Eric at Red State wrote about him and the process more than once.

I remember Erick's strong opposition to Strauss. It is an absolute shame that the GOP has such a strong majority there, and no guts to place a strong conservative in the role.

It only takes a few RINOs to spoil the barrel.

Yeah, Strauss has got to go.  Repub's going soft in Texas?  Never thought I'd ever see that...

Ruling Class disease is beginning to take root.  I have to believe a lot of voters are not happy with the flavor of Repub they may have in their districts, next election cycle hopefully changes the mix enough to at least put a stronger Speaker in the big chair...
