I love good news!

And the butthurt it creates by toxic leftists...the ones in govt ID-ing themselves as low-life traitors especially...

https://ace.mu.nu/archives/413536.php#413536

No more taxpayer funded grift for assholes like Bill Kristol!   ::effu::

This...this is sick -

Earlier today, we found out that the FBI had changed its mind about complying with a lawful order to provide the Department of Justice specifics about the personnel involved in the January 6 riot investigation. Leadership had threatened to refuse, some senior officials advised agents to be insubordinate, and the media lost their minds, as usual. And now we know why the FBI's senior ranks might have wanted to keep it quiet.

It turns out that Christopher Wray and Merrick Garland committed 13% of the FBI to investigating the riot, emphasis mine:

FBI officials have complied with demands to provide the Justice Department with a list of thousands of employees who worked on investigations related to the January 6, 2021, US Capitol riot, according to people familiar with the situation.

The demand has caused consternation among FBI employees who fear it is meant to amass a list of personnel for possible termination by the Trump administration.

Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, in a Friday memo with the subject line “Terminations,” had given FBI officials a noon deadline Tuesday to submit the names of thousands of agents and analysts. Bove previously ordered the firing of eight senior FBI officials, including those who oversaw cyber, national security and criminal investigations.

More than 5,000 names were submitted, sources said. There are more than 13,000 agents and 38,000 total FBI employees.

I hope we know who all these footdraggers are...they definitely need to GTFO of there!

Sometimes Ace can just hit the right tone tyo really get your morning off to a running start...

This is one of those...

Good morning kids. Now that the light has been turned on in the kitchen so to speak, President Donald Trump is not only dousing everything with Plutonium-infused RAID, and the cockroaches who were once doing the multi-trillion dollar mambo to "hey baba-rebop" as per the old Robert Klein routine, but they are shrieking in anger and terror. Hopefully they'll go legs up any second now and can be swept up and disposed a la the garbage trucks in Soylent Green, to be turned into Soylent Marxist insect meat and force-fed to the Greta Thunbergs of this world, until they choke on it.

Considering our budget over the past couple decades has soared into the trillions, the fact that USAID was allocated merely billions each year still is significant in that all the money, minus whatever was skimmed off the top to wet the beaks of the Democrats, went to a veritable rogues gallery of anti-American, anti-Western crackpot, terroristic thugocracies, kleptocrats and tyrants that have shed rivers o blood of their own people and us in the process. Those who are shrieking loudest are both in on the grift and hate this country as much if not more than the scum getting the dough-rey-mi. And this is just USAID, wait until the DOge axe really starts being wielded at the rest of the bureaucracy.

And speaking of cockroaches shrieking out their death rattle, this will warm the cockles of your heart:

The reaction of some U.S. Agency of International Development (USAID) employees when the Dept. of Government Efficiency (DOGE) came to their Washington D.C. office last week is raising more questions about the shadowy agency.
Contractor Kristina Drye, who is employed at USAID described to ABC News a scene reminiscent of the kind of mad scramble historically witnessed when a corrupt government has fallen and officials are desperately trying to get rid of evidence of wrongdoing.

Drye described USAID employees taking down pride flags and removing books that she felt might be “incriminating” as well as how “no one was talking” as DOGE team members began their review of the operations of the agency that sends billions of taxpayer dollars abroad for a variety of reasons ranging from disaster relief to funding regime change.

She described her concerns over DOGE setting up automatic transcription of USAID employee Google meets and how, over the weekend, she lost access to work computer.

USAID’s Director of Security John Voorhees and his deputy Brian McGill were both placed on administrative leave after denying system access to DOGE employees who were eventually able to gain access to the secure systems in order to conduct their analysis.

Such actions seem out of place considering that USAID employees and managers have had since early November to anticipate the incoming Trump administration and the anticipated arrival of DOGE.

Hiding flags and books and attempting to prevent access to the systems that track secretive government payments lend more strength to the concerns about fraud expressed by Elon Musk than they do to claims that USAID is operating with full transparency and accountability.

President Trump ordered a 90 day pause in foreign development assistance via USAID while the DOGE team reviews that agency’s efficiencies and consistency with the new administration’s foreign policy objectives.

I hope Pam Bondi and Discipline will follow the money and prosecute with extreme prejudice wherever it leads, now that she has been confirmed as the new AG!!

And as Ace noted...

Cabinet News: Pam Bondi Fully Confirmed as AG, Tulsi Gabbard and RFK JR Advance Following Committee Votes, Kash Patel Vote Likely Next Week

In overall cabinet confirmation progress, today Pam Bondi was confirmed (54-46) by the full senate.  Attorney General Pam Bondi is now in place at the DOJ. [link]
Director of National Intelligence nominee, Tulsi Gabbard, and Health and Human Service Secretary, RFK Jr have advanced by a straight party line vote in their respective committees and now head to the full senate vote as controlled by Senate Majority Leader John Thune.
.
.
.
For FBI Director nominee, Kash Patel, the Senate Judiciary Committee has internal rules that permit the Democrats to delay the committee vote for a week.  Judiciary Committee Chair Senate Chuck Grassley expects Kash Patel to receive the committee vote next week.

WASHINGTON DC – Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley said in a statement Tuesday his committee plans to take a final vote on FBI director nominee Kash Patel as early as next week.

The committee has a business meeting scheduled for Thursday to consider Patel’s nomination. Under committee rules, Democrats can delay the full committee vote for one more week, at which point senators are expected to advance the nominee along party lines to the full Senate for confirmation.

Senate Judiciary Democrats on Tuesday asked Grassley for another hearing to question Patel on several matters, including the recent personnel shakeup at the FBI. Grassley denied their request. (read more)

At least Grassley is nuking their BS demands.

Gotta wrap this up.

I have another theory on this entire confirmation process, but will share later as I want to see how it plays out in its entirety...

And, this ...this is extending on the previous EO's declaring economic emergency & tariffs...is pure brilliance...and Trump's response about meeting Xi - "I'm in no hurry"...is pure gold!

How do we get there from here? Like this:

Mahmoud Abbas, now in the 19th year of his 4-year term as President of the Palestine Authority, asks Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, to make Gaza a protectorate of Dubai. Gaza will fly the Palestinian flag, and Abbas will be its head of state, but Sheikh Mohammed's men will actually govern Gaza. The Israelis will be okay with this, because the United Arab Emirates signed a peace treaty with Israel as part of the Abraham Accords.
Trump's Mideast envoy (and fellow real estate developer) Steve Witkoff coordinates the launch of a real estate investment trust (REIT) with the sovereign wealth funds of Dubai and the Saudis. The REIT could be called The Gaza Redevelopment Trust. The Palestine Authority gets an equity stake in it.
Egypt gets an equity stake in the REIT too, in return for temporarily housing the Gazans in refugee camps in Sinai.
The United States gets an equity stake too.
The Gazans go to Sinai.
The Gaza Redevelopment Trust goes public in a giant IPO, with The Trump Organization committed to supervise/license local developers. The Israeli government buys into the IPO.
Gaza gets redeveloped as a second Dubai. Abbas and other senior Palestine Authority figures get luxury condos in Trump Tower Gaza, as do senior Egyptian government officials.
Equity holders in the REIT all profit, including the Gazans, via the Palestine Authority, which uses some of its profits to buy land for and develop a permanent home for the Gazans somewhere on the Egyptian or Saudi coast.

Everyone in the region profits from the new Gaza, and has a stake in making sure it stays peaceful and prosperous. And America makes a little profit from the deal too.

What is Hamas doing during all of this?

USAID paid for Chinese coronavirus research at the Wuhan lab. This included grants to a military bio research institute.
There is video of USAID head Samantha Power arguing with congress who demanded documents on who they funded for corona virus research. She said they had provided enough already. Congress said they were being blocked. IMO USAID ws hiding much.

If congress passed a bill that allocated $10B to an agency and said have fun with it,k is this legally significant? Can the president  just refuse to allow some spending items? Has congress given their job to write a bill to the executive branch?

If not specific yeah they conceded authority to the Executive...they used to do a lot more of that in the past then got smart and tried to be more specific but if specific in only general parameters like "fight narco trafficking" well there's a lot that could cover...

Things are really getting fun now...

The logjam to common sense that was the Biden-Harris reign of horror is over...

https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/crypto-regulatory-pivot-accelerates-fdic-releases-790-pages-letters-sec-dials-down-oversight

If there was something called "Operation Chokepoint 2.0" there was a 1.0 and it was all geared to keep America in a digital backwater ON PURPOSE!

And if records were destroyed...there are asses about to go to prison!

Ahh, two genders, and two genders only...

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/trump-sign-order-barring-men-womens-sports

...the way God and nature ALWAYS intended it.

And, here is where the fun begins to pick up pace...

New Attorney General Pam Bondi just issued a directive to freeze all federal funding to sanctuary cities, according to Fox News. Bondi issued a slew of directives today, but this one will surely get a lot of attention.

It was near the bottom of the article by Fox News, so I’ll just put it at the top of mine:

And as for illegal migrants, Bondi has directed the DOJ to pause all federal funding for sanctuary cities.

Bondi has also directed the DOJ to identify and evaluate all funding agreements with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that provide support to illegal aliens.

She is also directing litigating components of the Justice Department to investigate instances of jurisdictions that are impeding law enforcement, and directing they be prosecuted, when necessary.

You can definitely expect a lawsuit to be filed soon because these sanctuary cities spend a lot of taxpayer money and they won’t be happy about being denied federal funds.

Here’s more on the other directives by AG Bondi from Fox News, which are also quite substantial:

Attorney General Pam Bondi will issue several major directives on her first day leading the Justice Department, including orders to combat the weaponization of the legal system; make prosecutors seek the death penalty when appropriate; and work with the Department of Homeland Security to “completely eliminate” cartels and transnational criminal organizations, Fox News Digital has learned.

Fox News Digital exclusively obtained memos outlining Bondi’s first-day directives, which will lay the groundwork for the Justice Department under her leadership.

Bondi issued a directive regarding “zealous advocacy.” Bondi said DOJ attorneys’ responsibilities include “aggressively enforcing criminal laws passed by Congress, but also vigorously defending presidential policies and actions on behalf of the United States against legal challenges.”

Bondi, in the memo, states that “any Justice Department attorney who declines to sign a brief, refuses to advance good-faith arguments on behalf of the Trump administration, or otherwise delays or impedes the Justice Department’s mission will be subject to discipline and potentially termination.”

Bondi is set to establish the “Weaponization Working Group,” which will review the activities of all law enforcement agencies over the past four years to identify instances of “politicized justice.”

The working group’s first reviews will include prosecutions against Trump led by former Special Counsel Jack Smith; Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg; and the civil fraud case brought against Trump and his family by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The working group will also review any potential prosecutorial abuse regarding Jan. 6, 2021; the FBI’s targeting of Catholic Americans; the Justice Department’s targeting of parents at school board meetings; and FACE Act abuses.

Meanwhile, Bondi also will end the moratorium on federal executions and order that federal prosecutors at the Department of Justice, including U.S. attorney’s offices, seek the death penalty when appropriate —specifically with a focus on violent drug trafficking crimes.

Bondi also ordered that the Justice Department “re-evaluate instances of the prior administration electing not to seek the death penalty.”

Bondi also is expected to rescind any DOJ policies that are “not sufficiently in line with President Trump’s death penalty executive order.”

As for cartels, Bondi is directing the Justice Department to work closely with the Department of Homeland Security and other federal partners to “completely eliminate” the threats of cartels and transnational criminal organizations.

Bondi plans to re-imagine charging priorities relating to those cases in order to ensure that law enforcement resources are focused on dismantling the foundational operational capacity of cartels, as opposed to just picking off low-level offenders.

Here, the Justice Department is expected to temporarily suspend some “bureaucratic approvals and reviews” in order to prioritize speedy prosecutions and captures of those accused of severe offenses like capital crimes, terrorism, or aiding the operations of cartels.

Government contracts with news outlets are big business. While I don't discount that other shenanigans may be going on, just the subscription services netted Politico $27.5M during the Biden Years. Digital business is tough, it's nice to have loyal customers.

The fed funding cut might be legal. I recall a case long ago where SD declined to raise their drinking age so the feds cut their highway funding. SCOTUS said OK but cannot recall their reasoning. Maybe Dole v. SD.
I just checked and the case is very limited.

The U.S. Supreme Court case South Dakota v. Dole (1987) dealt with the federal government's power to influence state policy through conditional grants. The case arose when South Dakota challenged a federal law that withheld a portion of highway funds from states that did not adopt a minimum drinking age of 21.
Reasoning of the Supreme Court:

The Court upheld the law in a 7-2 decision, with Chief Justice Rehnquist writing the majority opinion. The ruling was based on the following reasoning:

    Spending Power & Conditions:
The Court held that Congress has broad authority under the Spending Clause (Article I, Section 8) to set conditions on federal funds given to states.
The withholding of 5% of highway funds was considered a valid exercise of this power.

    Four-Part Test for Conditional Grants:
The Court established a test to determine the constitutionality of conditional federal funding:
The spending must promote the general welfare.
        The conditions must be unambiguous.
The conditions must be related to the federal interest in the particular program.
The conditions must not violate other constitutional provisions.
