I'm an independent, for one, and for two, did playing up to the "independents" ever win a conservative anything?

Him and others like him keep conflating true independents with the mushy middle moderates.  They are not the same bunch.

This is what I get for taking what others write at face value and not checking.

Hume did NOT slam Bachmann; his opinion is that the Dems via Bill Clinton are putting out the "Bachmann is too toxic to independents" meme.
