Obama to impose new gun "reforms" - through EO

Half a year after the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), the Obama administration is set to release a series of reforms to the current gun law, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said on Thursday.

The reforms, which are being crafted by the Department of Justice, come after a series of meetings with relevant stakeholders in the Second Amendment debate. But in a nod to the difficulties of getting legislation through a Republican-run House of Representatives, only executive orders or administrative actions — and not an actual bill — are expected to be handed to Congress.

Administration officials were coy on the specifics, from the reforms the Department of Justice would recommend or when it would actually make those recommendations.

I am tired of living in dread of what they're going to do next. 

I want them to know instead we're coming after them.  All of them.

No, it isn't you.  I believe folks are suffering from outrage-exhaustion syndrome.  There's only so much BP raising bullspit one can take in a daily dose.

That about sums it up. I'm thinking I'm shellshocked. Nothing this administration does surprises me anymore. Plus, I don't know who I want to throttle more. The spineless GOP or the "Independent" voters who got us here to begin with. ::gaah::

Outrage fatigue has struck here, too. Mostly that, but also this has been a great spring/summer so far.

I think that is part of the left's plan.  Keep hammering us from all sides, 24/7, without letup, with one outrage after another.  Sensory overload.  We'll be too paralyzed to do anything about it.  We react to one thing, and meanwhile they're doing five or six more things.

Yes and yes.

They're running Cloward-Piven on our heads as well.  It's not just sensory overload, it takes a toll on the stamina.

It gets to me to thinking about that old adage:  Don't attempt to fight an old man; if he's too tired to fight, he'll just kill you.

I also wonder about our House Republicans as well; they're in the thick of it, every damn day.  I expect it's as overwhelming for them sometimes, too, especially if the staunch ones never know who's going to RINO out on them.

Create a problem, mandate a "solution" by bureaucratic fiat. This is the building blocks of tyranny being set into place  folks. Can there be any further doubt?

ATF to require gun buyer information on border

WASHINGTON (AP) — In an effort to stem the illicit flow of weapons into Mexico, the Justice Department announced Monday that all gun shops in four Southwest border states will be required to alert the federal government to frequent buyers of high-powered rifles...

More dismay at the link.

This is not equality under the law, as I see it.  Only these States are required to meet different reporting requirements?  The AGs need to get together and sue DOJ's ass off.

I noticed also, yesterday, that they're clamping down on certain calibers of ammo and the DOD has begun crushing brass again instead of letting it out to the market.  Looks to me like the incursions against the guns themselves are minimal; what they're going after now is ammunition.
