I wonder what this guy's usual stance on government regulation is, seeing as how "small government = no building inspections" figured into his choice of location.

Fortress? Castle?  Depends on how dense TransForm™ concrete is.

You may be able to drive a Volt through it.

In a post-SHTF scenario, a 72,000 square foot mansion isn't exactly keeping a low profile.

But if it's built like a fortress, who cares?  Medieval castles weren't low profile either.

So, you can drive a Volt thorugh it, it has no moat or other obvious forms of deterence...
