I've recently started seeing this symbol in various different places.

Does anyone besides me find this .... thing ...... instinctively creepy?

On the one hand, it's not surprising given the pace and direction of tech these days, but on the other, it's a case of more tech taking over our lives, I guess. In and of itself it's not creeping me out, but the underlying principle does.

So what are they for?  I don't have a cell phone.

I printed one on the back of a guy's business card recently.  I guess I should have asked him.

Instead of having to actually [/i]type[/i] the address of the company, you scan teh code and it takes you there.
