RNC congratulating itself
« on: August 03, 2011, 10:40:19 AM »
Just in case there was ever any doubt about just how badly the GOP doesn't get it, I present Exhibit A. I have highlighted some of the more blatantly delusional parts.

The only thing I can read is "Thank you for being a patriot".  What other egregiousness is there?

Rush is talking about Repub's claiming victory...

His whole analysis is spot on so far.

And it must irk the Ruling Class that the Tea Party is not celebrating and instead is viewing this as a complete surrender.

He IS spot on, particularly about the Ruling Class' faux "disappointment"/Obama got rolled propaganda meant to have the TEA Party just shut up and go home "in victory".

Well, this "Teahadist" (h/t RickZ) ain't shutting up OR going home.

I would not be surprised in the least to learn that the "negotiations"  that took place and the resulting legislation were designed by both parties of the ruling class to marginalize the Tea Party as unwilling to accept "victory" in service of our extremism.

It was.  I posted a piece stating the HOUSE legislation was written by Reid and McConnell aides.

eta:  Interesting Nugget About John Boehner’s Bill

Quote
Guess who wrote it?

The late-night jousting in the Senate followed a vote on House Speaker John A. Boehner’s debt-limit measure, which would extend the Treasury’s borrowing power until early next year and force another economy-rattling fistfight within a few months.

Drafted largely by aides to Reid and McConnell last weekend, the measure was originally designed to appeal to the more centrist Senate.

Everything we’ve gone through this week was elaborate theater to get us ultimately to an even worse conclusion. At least 22 Republicans didn’t fall for it.

The government is "expected" is grow at a rate of 10% yearly.  That $7 TRILLION is a "cut" from 10 to 7.

If I ran my own finances this way, I'd be either in jail or living in a box.

Government's closest analog in the natural world is the malignant tumor. Think about it. The end result will be the same, too.

Death of the host.  The parasites that can, jump ship; the ones that have fed symbiotically, but are not obligate.  Those that can't, die with the host.

The former will have absorbed enough nutrient to begin again in a new host.

Well, at least obama's ideas makes something grow.

A few more years of this and the only avenue to get out will be another war....But this one will be within the states.
