Seems they have been taking notes from Moochelle.

In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

I have to admit, though, that the Burger King "King" was pretty creepy. Kinda makes you wonder who in marketing was dropping acid when they dreamed that one up. In fact, it's sort of hard to imagine how you could come up with a creepier mascot.

Improved product quality and uniformity should be their first step to improving sales.  When they get that squared away the money they spend on advertising will gain them returns.

Isn't that always the way. The king was as creapy as it gets I can see kids being afraid of it.Have it your way was the best thing they had going.

I have a 25yo nephew who thinks the character was the best icon ever. I swear he wants to be him. But then he's the same one who got up at a family Thanksgiving in front of our decidedly conservative family and denounced GW Bush as a "war criminal" during the prayer.

Guess It's all a matter of taste...

Hilarious.  Only took them decades to figure out that the King wasn't a winner?

Always thought their stuff tasted weird.

Was never fond of Burger King.  In the days when I regularly ate that type of stuff, it was from Wendy's.

Have it your way was the best thing they had going.

Yes, that's true but it's no longer an exclusive. Just about everyone, including McDonalds, will custom prepare and order now.

The flame broiled thing, as noted above, is about their only exclusive these days. And as much as I do like that it isn't enough.

CO is right about product quality and uniformity. I would add to that cleanliness inside and outside. It really is just that simple.

McD's may custom prepare your order, however, from my experience, doesn't mean they get that right. In fact it's wrong at least 75% of the time. Cheese or no cheese is the best I can hope for at any given time. Bought a Filet-o-fish  sandwich the other day and it was so damn sloppy as in filet was almost totally off the bun. How hard is it to get that right? ::facepalm::

I saw this clever comparison over at AoSHQ...

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
