ATF Director Steps Down...Sort Of...
« on: August 30, 2011, 07:27:09 PM »
...takes a legal position in DOJ...probably being tasked with destroying evidence so the interim ATF Director can have plausible deniability as to what happened to all the dept's records!

 ::gaah::

At least to POS USA in AZ resigned completely, Melson has no such class.  Congress better drag him into hearings ASAP and not let him leave the premises!

"Senator Grassley and I will continue to press the Department of Justice for answers in order to ensure that a reckless effort like Fast and Furious does not take place again."

Screw pressing, issue freakin subpoenas on persons and documents and get 'em all in the room NOW!

Oh, ok, I feel sooooooo much better now. It will never happen again.

California Rep. Darrell Issa is already eyeing a massive expansion of oversight for next year, including hundreds of hearings; creating new subcommittees; and launching fresh investigations into the bank bailout, the stimulus and, potentially, health care reform.

The decision to promote Cummings to the top post was an attempt to counter the aggressive incoming Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who has vowed to hold hundreds of hearings and launch new investigations into the bank bailouts, the stimulus funds and possibly the healthcare overhaul.

Rep. Darrell Issa is deadly serious about getting to the bottom of the corruption stinking up the Obama White House. As the incoming chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Issa will use the power of subpoena to hold "hundreds of hearings" on White House malfeasance.

I have full confidence that Rep Issa will carry out his responsibilities with a just temperament and even handed rhetoric.
