"People who love reality television often have a special attraction to "train wreck" shows. For two years now, the tasteless titans of the cable channel TLC have been exploiting the spectacle of hyper-ambitious stage mothers parading around "beauty queens" just barely out of diapers in thousand-dollar gowns. The program is titled "Toddlers and Tiaras." But now it's even worse."

Don't watch this show, never did. I used to watch the Learning Channel, not anymore. Used to be about quality. Theatre, Concerts, and History, you remember History? It is what the History Channel used to be before they sold out to Liberal Antagonists. Pity, bit I still have my books and video tapes, I'll survive seriously doubt they will! ::rant::

You only need to see the commercials for this show to get what it's about---the mothers making up for their lack of self-worth.  Anyway, one of my daughters and I watched one episode and that was enough.  We spent the entire show trash talking the parents.

Here's another article that is revealing by what the moms said when they were interviewed and more info on this world of exploiting kids:
LINK

One of the regulars on the pageant circuit has her own agent!  Her parents have spent around $100,000 on her but she's probably only "earned" $40,000.  Some of these moms are overweight women living through their kids.  Many only have one kid.  If they have more than one they were probably "pageant girls".  One woman I heard about said she'd leave her husband if he ever said she had to quit putting her daughter in pageants.  While there are some dads heavily involved in it too, many appear to be reluctant or hestitant about it but nonetheless, assume the whipped status through it all.

Generally, I'm reluctant to rag on others' parenting--I'm not in their shoes but these parents are sick.

It's all one big Reality Show, PT Barnum would be proud. Sports is the worst, they have Demigod Athletes to a point they are sickening. The News, it's all the same. Look at Obama, turned out, he was a less than ordinary by anyone's standards.  King Making, is nothing but an everyday occurrence!

It's all made up.  Don't have to earn it any more just be outlandish enough and you get your moment.
