The EPA is using taxpayer money to encourage environmentalist groups to sue … the EPA. This has continued for decades.

Quote
When the Environmental Protection Agency said in late June that it would force Western coal-fired power plants to install haze-reducing pollution-control equipment at a cost of $1.5 billion a year, it said it had to in order to settle a lawsuit by environmental groups.

    …

One organization involved in the suit, the Environmental Defense Fund, has a long history of taking the EPA to court. In fact, a cursory review finds almost half a dozen cases in the past 10 years.

The odd thing is that the EPA, in turn, has handed EDF $2.76 million in grants over that same period, according to an IBD review of the agency’s grant database.

From where does all this money come? From we, the people, so that the EPA can in essence sue itself to fund its real allies while getting what they wanted in the first place.

The EPA bureaucrats subvert the will of the people to impose their own desires through judicial mandates they engineered. Environmentalist groups and their fellow travelers not only achieve their anti-American, anti-progress goals but are actually paid by the very people they are suing. And leftist lawyers benefit handsomely from this arrangement.

The American people, whose tax dollars will be wasted, whose energy costs “necessarily skyrocket,” whose businesses close, whose jobs are lost, whose food prices stratospherically rise, end up in every way poorer and with less trust in the government that is supposed to exist only to serve them.

Blood boiling, shooting blood from my eyeballs. ::gaah::

What I want for Christmas list

Obama to be arrested or hung self inflicted.
New Government to have large enough brass balls to eliminate the following Government agencies:
EPA
DoE
Department of education/indoctrination
FCC
Homeland Security
HUD and anything else related to it.

Please feel free to add to it ::thumbsup::

It occurs to me as I look at your list that none of these agencies do anything productive.

EPA - does not protect; obstructs
DoE - produces no energy
Dept. of ed - educates no one
FCC - does not facilitate communication
Homeland Security - provides no security
HUD - develops nothing

and

DoJ - provides no justice

These agencies obstruct, period.

It's a good list; I'd add the EEOC, OSHA, USDA, FDA, and Interior.

While I despise OSHA, the agency should be reorganized to provide help rather than penalty as they do now. Don't forget the FEC as they do and have done a great job thus far in preventing illegal contribution and issuing fines.

Department of Agriculture needs to go as well.

"I'm from the Govt. I'm here to help you not to fine you". Sounds good but it probably wouldn't work.

Ag is the USDA.

The Constitution (o noes! here she goes agin!) does not authorize or permit Congress to establish these agencies in order to establish regulatory control -- or any kind of control.

Once we get Obama out of the White House, we may want to think about knocking down The White House and putting up a new one. The logic to me, speaks for itself!

NLRB. This is one I had never even heard of until Obama. It is being used as an anti-capitalist enforcement arm on behalf of labor unions, to protect the incest between labor and the Socialist Democrat party. It needs to go away, period.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

In 2004 I was named as a co-defendant in a NLRB suit against the company I work for during a failed unionizing effort. In true Liberal Projection fashion I was accused of intimidation when in truth it was the union thugs who foolishly tried to intimidate me.

We won.

Say what you will about Richard Nixon but in the latter years of his life he came to regret ever signing the bill which created the EPA . He saw that it had gone way beyond its original purpose and mandate and had become an out of control agency which operated to the detriment of our economic well being and our individual liberties .
