...everytime I hear/see any of this...I get viscerally enraged all over again!!!

And people want to forget this?

People want to accept the SCoaMF attempt to change 9-11 from a day of remembrance and patriotism and resolve against our greatest external enemy and morph this into some meaningless day of service?!

Screw him and anyone who thinks like him!  If FDR has tried that crap on the 10th anniversary of Pearl Harbor who would've been beaten down had he not been dead already!

Once we forget what that day was about is the day we as a nation choose to accept death!

Screw that noise!

I'll never forget, and I will never forgive!  The former is impossible for any being with a conscience and the latter is in God's hands alone!

I've got his show on now, too, but I'm going to have to turn him off if he keeps crying.  Can't take it.

It's the kids we must see to looking at this date properly -- a Day of Service my ass -- as most of the adults understand.

Yeah, don't care for crying, anger is much more productive an emotion IMO, but before all that were various clips...ATC transmissions, news clips, people on the street...

Found out our fire dept is having a memorial service of some sort and will be dedicating a piece of a beam from one of the Towers--so we'll be going to that.  A quick search revealed that many fire depts have received pieces...also discovered that many communities have designated memorials.  I think I will take the kids to see some of the ones near us.

In many ways I don't want to go to the fire station event but I must and my kids too.  Just thinking about it makes me sad.

A day of service......you got to be friggin kiddin.

Now, I understand why a lib would think a day of service important, they live and breath on the backs of others sacrifice and money. A day of service to them would be a sacrifice, in a weird lib way.

A foundation, a building block of this country is built on sacrifice, on service to our nation. How in the hell do you call for something this country has done since its inception? It's bewildering, confusing and makes me as mad as I've ever been. Only a mind of a socialist would believe this day should be remembered as a day to do a service. I'm guessing the other 364 days are dedicated to creating as much disservice as they can.
