Before the decision on the arms package, 181 House members from both parties wrote to Mr. Obama Aug. 1 urging him to sell the new F-16s. That followed a similar letter from 45 senators in May calling for the new jets.

They also need submarines and interceptor missiles and cruise missiles.
It's Bush's fault, he could have pushed these sales through in '06, he could have
neutralized Iran also.

Definitely yes on the former, the latter a tougher sell but then again if you can't tackle hard stuff stay out of the Big Chair!  Seems like many latter day Chief's have a couple big uglies they take a pass on doesn't it?
