What is the Durban III?

Quote
“Durban III” is intended to “commemorate” the 10th anniversary of the UN-sponsored anti-Semitic hatefest that took place in Durban, South Africa in 2001. The final product of that conference—the Durban Declaration—charged Israel with racism, the only one of the UN’s 192 state members so accused. Led by Congressman and Holocaust survivor Tom Lantos, the United States—along with Israel—walked out of Durban I in disgust.
Bayefsky points out that “The Durban conference legitimized hate speech on a global scale.” (read more at Canada Free Press)http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/39060

Durban III, the UN-Sponsored Conference

On September 22, 2011, foreign ministers and heads of state will attend the Durban III Conference at the United Nation's headquarters in New York City. It is the third in a series of international events sponsored by the UN whose stated purpose is to combat racism. However, history has shown that the Durban events promote, rather than combat, racism.

Also on September 22, the Hudson Institute and Touro College have organized an event across the street from the UN at the Millennium Hotel in Manhattan. Their counter conference will focus on the perils of racism associated with past and current Durban Conferences. Called The Perils of Global Intolerance: The United Nations and Durban III, this event showcases a who's who of speakers from academia, public policy, journalism, human rights, politics and entertainment.

PJTV is proud to bring you video straight from The Perils of Global Intolerance Conference, on September 22, dubbed DurbanWatch for short.

Countries Boycotting

Fourteen countries have announced their intentions to boycott the conference. The precise reasons vary from country to country, but include concerns that the Durban process has been used to promote racism, intolerance, antisemitism and Holocaust denial, and to erode freedom of speech and Israel's right to exist. These countries include Australia,[6][7] Austria,[8][9]Bulgaria,[10] Canada, the Czech Republic,[11] France,[12] Germany[13] Italy[14], Israel, the Netherlands,[15] New Zealand,[16] Poland,[17] the United Kingdom[18] and the United States.  (wikipedia)
