A Miracle?

IronDioPriest:
Our good friends Jim and Karla [names altered to protect privacy & anonymity] went through a scary time recently. Karla began feeling pressure in her guts and bladder, and it became increasingly worse over a few weeks. They took her to the doctor, and based on feeling a large lump around her uterus by pressing outside, they ordered an ultrasound, which confirmed a softball sized tumor on the uterus.

That ultrasound warranted an MRI, which confirmed the results. The only question was whether this was cancerous or a fibroid cyst. Based on its location, they were hopeful that it was just a fibroid cyst. Doctors recommended a hysterectomy, but Karla was very reluctant, and demanded first to have an exploratory scopic surgery to biopsy for cancer, and determine whether this was something that could be removed, rather than removing the entire uterus.

They scheduled the surgery for a couple weeks out. In the meantime, they prayed fervently for healing.

The very day before the surgery, Karla awoke, and told Jim that she felt like the pressure she had been experiencing was gone. They went in for the surgery the next day. She told the doctor that she wanted another ultrasound, because she felt like this softball-sized tumor was no longer there. The doctor told her that if they did that, the surgery would be postponed, and that really, the likelihood that it was gone was nil, since it was there just a couple weeks ago. He convinced her that the scopic surgery was relatively non-invasive, and that delaying it wasn't worth it.

They went in with the scope through four incisions. No tumor. Confirmed with a post-op ultrasound. The doctors have no explanation.

Can I get an "AMEN"?
