Prosecutors seek death penalty for Gosnell

Prosecutors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania announced today they will seek the death penalty for abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell, who faces charged related to killing a woman in a botched abortion and killing babies infanticides....

...Assistant District Attorneys Joanne Pescatore and Christine Wechsler confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper that they are looking at pursuing the death penalty related to Gosnell and former Gosnell employees Lynda Williams, Steven Massof and Adrienne Moton. The three are accusing of assisting Gosnell in the infanticide “abortions” where unborn children late in pregnancy were purposefully birth in order to kill them by using medical scissors to “snip” their spinal cords.

Gosnell himself will likely face a potential death penalty as the prosecutors notified his attorney, Jack McMahon, that they will seek death by lethal injection if a jury finds Gosnell guilty of first-degree murder in the counts he faces. Gosnell faces a third-degree murder charge related to the death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar from a botched abortion Gosnell performed. Mongar died November 20, 2009, after overdosing on anesthetics prescribed by the doctor....

To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Can't wait to see the testimony on when "clumps of cells" become human beings.

Frigging liberal scum.

Gosnell and his ilk are evidence that some clumps of cells never do become human beings.

What's the big deal? He should've just stuck the scissors into their spinal cords 2 minutes sooner while they were still just tissue masses. He'd win the Hero of Socialist Medicine medal.

Not sure if this is where this should go, but the Philadelphia abortion doctor, Kermit Gosnell finally goes on trial today.  I don't know how much coverage it will get nationally, but this is the guy who ran a filthy abortion clinic for the minority customers, and had a nice clean room for the white customers who came from everywhere to get late term abortions.  The lied about the sonograms they did to make sure NO ONE was too far along to qualify.  One of the newborns he killed was "big enough to walk him to the bus stop".  I hope the death penalty is on the table, and that this guy gets it.

From the story:

It's not clear if Pennsylvania jurors have ever been asked to send a man of Gosnell's age or occupation to death row. Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams called Gosnell's macabre medical clinic - where agents found fetal body parts in glass jars and staff refrigerators, and patient rooms filthy and blood-stained - a "house of horrors."

SO... apparently the death penalty is on the table.  Good.

This macabre demon should take his place alongside ghouls like Gein and Dahmer, but the Left will be rooting for him every step of the way.

A spinal snipping and maybe a bowel perforation sounds like a fair punishment.

Air-drop him in the Pashtun region of Afghanistan and tell them he kills children without buggering them first. The 'Slims would execute him for being an inefficient infidel.

I think sick bastards like this orginally escaped from Hell.

I think I'd like to revisit my idea of throwing the worst of the worst onto an island surrounded by ravenous sharks and let them all slaughter each other.

These comments like "big enough to walk him to the bus stop" and that the babies screamed....man it provokes a visceral reaction in me, I literally feel a physical flinch of disgust combined with rage in my guts....I can't get my mind around the fact that such savagery and -- let's call it what it is -- demonic, satanic evil is among us. That his case is drawing out the usual apologists on the Left, on cue accusing of a racially motivated prosecution, only confirms the total depravity of these people.

And you know what? These mothers who went there are no less demonic. To be that far along that the baby could survive outside the womb, they knew what they were doing.

An angry mob should be kicking in the doors and bashing in the windows and dragging this monster out into the street for some long overdue well-earned justice.

Somebody waded into the cesspool of Big 3 low information media and did the tabulations.

Ace

This story exposes faultlines between Democrats, who are by political necessity abortion absolutists, and Independents, who may lean somewhat pro-choice but sure the hell aren't on board for infanticide. But to report this story at all would put the Democrats in the difficult position of angering its an element of its hardcore single-issue leftist coalition, or alienating independents.
