More pay to play .........
« on: September 30, 2011, 02:02:58 PM »
First there was Solyndra and and half billion dollar subsidy to Obama bundler, George Kaiser, now the laundry list of payoffs to Friends of Obama lengthens with the inclusion of 400 million to Abound Solar, an investment vehicle of bundler and Democrat donor Pat Stryker's firm, Bohemian Companies.

But wait!  That's not all!

Quote
And this week the Obama Administration awarded a $337 million loan guarantee to Sempra Energy’s Mesquite Solar I project in Arizona, about 45 miles west of Phoenix.

That 150-megawatt facility will use solar panels made in Arizona by Suntech Power, which is based in China.

Also noted as China's entry into the US power market, and kind of strange, considering:

Quote
On September 14, 2011, Jonathan Silver, Executive Director Loan Programs Office, U.S. Department of Energy warned the House Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Committee on Energy and Commerce that we cannot allow China to dominate the solar industry. This came after US company Solyndra went bankrupt despite blowing $537 million in US stimulus cash.

Add these to the laundry list:

Quote
Despite the growing Solyndra scandal, yesterday the Department of Energy approved $1 billion in new loans to green energy companies -- including a $737 million loan guarantee to a company known as SolarReserve:

    [...]

On SolarReserve's website is a list of "investment partners," including the "PCG Clean Energy & Technology Fund (East) LLC." As blogger American Glob quickly discovered, PCG's number two is none other than "Ronald Pelosi, a San Francisco political insider and financial industry polymath who happens to be the brother-in-law of Nancy Pelosi, the Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives."

Also, an investment firm headed up by Steve Mitchell who was heavily invested in Solyndra is also on the SolarReserve board.

And Obama's Treasury Department gave Missouri's Tom Carnahan's wind power company $107 million tax credit last year. This year, Carnahan is holding a fundraiser at his house for Obama.

Obama and his cronies are systematically looting of the country whatever wealth is left and then some -- that last is what we, our children and our grandchildren, will be on the hook for.

Rush added something to this theory of mine today when he stated that none of this are even considered going concerns -- they're not viable businesses and everyone involved know that -- they're Looters, Inc.

Consider:

Quote
"There has never been more money shoved out of the government's door in world history and probably never will be again than in the last few months and the next 18 months. And our selfish, parochial goal is to get as much of it for Tulsa and Oklahoma as we possibly can."

He also might have said to get as much for it as he could possibly get for his foundation and for his ego as Oklahoma's patron saint.

George Kaiser is the billionaire oil and gas investor whose foundation was the major investor in Solyndra -- now a name that symbolizes the folly and destructiveness of crony capitalism.

This statement is unwittingly revealing of how cronies view taxpayers' dollars (and taxpayers). They are ripe for the picking.

When this statement is paired with the admission of another Solyndra investor who said they sought the federal loan guarantee so they could quickly and "definitely go public and cash out," it becomes quite clear that Obama's pay to play politics has severely damaged our future.

I wonder... if one were to analyze the entirety of the "stimulus", how much of it goes into the pockets of Democrat interests?

This administration is sending taxpayer dollars into coffers meant to launder right back into Democrat party infrastructure, and it is doing whatever it can whenever and wherever it can to punish those interests that support Republican infrastructure.

And the GOP offers its token opposition, and then moves on after they lose the battle. Instead of screaming from the mountaintops about the corruption of tax dollars in the hundreds of billions if not trillions being diverted to Democrat interests, the GOP refuses to question the motives and motivation of the enemy.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Well, first the Republicans would have to admit the Dems are the enemy.  They cannot be trusted, they cannot be negotiated with, they can only be stomped down into dust.

Pretty much all of it.  Same goes for the "jobs" bill.

Classic Chicago politics, only now on a national scale.
We are so far past and beyond the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that the Colonists and Founders experienced and which necessitated the Revolutionary War that they aren’t even visible in the rear-view mirror.

Not all of it, by all means; I'm figuring a significant portion is being salted away in private holdings.  Who is going to be the beneficiary of all that money before passing it on and not want make sure a good bunch of it sticks.

One would think now having to wear diapers they would catch a clue.
The only answer is, the Dems have them broke in.
