Selecting Your Race

My daughter is completing an application and it asked her to select her race.  We had a lot of laughs over that.  Imagine selecting your race.  Hmmm since gender is now determined by what one feels perhaps we should answer based on what race we're feeling.  We had Mexican for dinner so she said was feeling latina but she also likes pineapple a lot so maybe Hawaiian is the way to go.

The last choice was "decline to answer".  I'm thinking that's code for white.

Talladega, Daytona...hell anywhere with fast cars tearing it up is a good race!

It would be funny putting it on the form, but it would be a dead give-away that your a typical redneck cracker!

I like to put "European-American". A lot of people give it the stink-eye, while thinking nothing of terms like African-American. I figure that, like the Diversity Bake Sale at Berkeley, an occasional person might notice the disparity of one being acceptable and the other not and give it just a bit of thought.

Plus I just like throwing it back at the Left.
