Email to NY Lawmakers: 'Time to kill the wealthy'
« on: October 06, 2011, 03:29:46 PM »
That ultra-violent Tea Party is at it again with the violent rhetoric and threats.... Oh wait, is that a collective yawn I hear from the media? Must not be the Tea Party. It must be those peace-loving Marxist redistributionist thugs.

The deadly double-standard by the media is going to get people killed.

HT: politico....

Email: 'Time to kill the wealthy'

Several influential New York state lawmakers have received threatening mails saying it is “time to kill the wealthy” if they don’t renew the state’s tax surcharge on millionaires, according to reports.

“It’s time to tax the millionaires!” reads the email, according to WTEN in Albany. “If you don’t, I’m going to pay a visit with my carbine to one of those tech companies you are so proud of and shoot every spoiled Ivy League [expletive] I can find.”

State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and State Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos reportedly received the email, as did State Assembly Majority Leader Ron Canestrari. The governor’s office did not tell the New York Daily News whether the governor received the email.

The email, with the threatening subject line of, “time to kill the wealthy,” was detailed and disturbing.

“How hard is it for us to stake out one of the obvious access roads to some tech company, tail an employee home and toss a liquor bottle full of flaming gasoline through their nice picture window into their cute house,” wrote the author of the email.

The email references terminology that has been used in the “Occupy Wall Street” movement — that the1 percent, the super rich, are exploiting the remaining 99 percent of Americans. The angry message demanded that Albany politicians “stop shoveling wealth from the lower 99 percent into the top 1 percent” and “set aside your ‘no new taxes on anybody’ pledge.”

The New York surcharge on the wealthy is set to expire at the end of this year, and Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Senate Republicans oppose continuing it. Under the surcharge, passed into law in 2009, individuals earning $200,000 or more pay 1 percentage point more in taxes, and those earning $500,000 or more pay a rate that is 2.12 percentage points higher than those earning less than $200,000. Less than 3 percent of New York households are affected by the surcharge.

“You’re going to do it [renew the surcharge], or we are going to sow the kind of choas [sic] you are unequipped to deal with,” the email said. “And you’re going to find yourself in a country where you and your wealthy friends are gonig [sic] to be hunted.”

State Police told the New York Daily News that they are aware of the email and are investigating the incident.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

The double-standard at its very worst...

The silence of the MFM condemns them utterly.

Obama’s October revolution

Washington Times

President Obama’s shock troops are marching in the streets. Occupy Wall Street — a movement composed of communists, anarchists, socialists and anti-globalization student radicals — is spreading. Protests have swelled in cities including New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver and Philadelphia. The protesters are gaining influence and numbers. A ragtag group of hippie students has turned into a potent political force.

Occupy Wall Street seeks to demonize big banks, large corporations and capitalism. Its goal is to overturn America’s economic structure. The protesters are calling for wealth redistribution, fees on bank profits and massive tax increases on the rich. Many are demanding a socialist revolution — the confiscation of private property and nationalization of the economy. They are the heirs of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels and Vladimir Lenin. Their aim is to impose the hammer and sickle upon America.

Maybe now is a good time to refresh our memories on the connection between Obama's cousin Raila Odinga and Barack Hussein Obama. Odinga's methods of agitation, division, racism, and class warfare, seem to be in line with Obama's, and indicative of the direction we're headed. The facts on the ground and the players are completely different, but the template is the same.

Barack Obama & Raila Odinga

If they go looking for a bigger BBQ or fancier car the strategy might backfire on them. I could easily point out three illegals in my neighborhood matching that description.

Obama's stormtroopers on the streets, corruption rampant in the White House, Reid employing the nuclear option...and we're not even in 2012 yet...gosh, I wonder what the Left really intends to do?!

Oh, if only people had a clue...

"The F Troop Party is Stupid! Of course, we all knew that already. Lets face it, only took one News Cycle to figure that out. What isn't stupid, is the diabolical Marxists behind the curtain. They could keep this up until a National Emergency ensues. Considering the time between now and the Elections, plus the fact Obama looks like 'Toast,' now that scares me.

I'm scared too.  Seems that obama wants this to get out of hand so he can call for martial law.  Then he can suspend the 2012 election and eventually declare himself king, but only after killing all who oppose him.

We are sooo screwed.

We're only screwed (in that regard) if your fear becomes reality. We may well have several months of turmoil and heated rhetoric capped by Obama's defeat in 2012.

Of course, what comes after? I've often thought that Obama could be more dangerous to the nation as a defeated president/community organizer. Imagine the thorn he will be in the side of America, unfettered by the proprieties of the presidency, and its inherent need to elevate rhetoric above a certain level.

The blatant race/class-baiting of AL Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will pale in comparison.

Then there's the financial crisis and entitlement crisis....

Two fears: one, boyking will blow the deal before election time; two, we will not elect a person with strong
enough character and political skill to carry forth the necessary prosecutions.

Elements on both sides have floated the suspension of elections/suppression of civil rights/mass arrest/martial law FUD since 2000 (possibly even earlier). I take it all with a grain (or two) of salt. It would be a serious mess for a pubbie - any pubbie to declare martial law. My bias tends to believe that dhimmis would be more inclined but it would take waaay more than anything we've seen lately.

I just don't see it happening.

NY Post

The reports are not good, disturbing even. I have heard basically the same story four times in the last 10 days, and the people doing the talking are in New York and Washington and are spread across the political spectrum.
...
Everybody else, including members of his Cabinet, have little face time with him except for brief meetings that serve as photo ops.
...
The president’s workdays are said to end early, often at 4 p.m. He usually has dinner in the family residence with his wife and daughters, then retreats to a private office. One person said he takes a stack of briefing books. Others aren’t sure what he does.

Where are his compatriots, mentors, fellow travelers?
How private is that office? Does it have alternate entrances?
He's been coddled all his life, he's not a loner.  At a tense time
like this he would want to be surrounded by his old time support
group.  Have they deserted him?  I don't think so.

Are you implying the MFM is throwing him under the bus then?  Why publish this kind of despair-riddled piece?
