I'll bet there's life down there. It's everywhere else, in places you'd think impossible. No reason to think it's not down there, and if it's an isolated lake completely in the dark for 1,000,000 years three miles under the ice, I'll bet they find lots of completely unique species.

They are going to find new bacteria, that killed the dinosaurs, nurture it and release it into the atmosphere.
