IIRC we have a military presence in Constanta (and a growing presence on their air force base there), a land-based Aegis system in Deveslu that's been active near a decade and a thriving economy...yeah they are tied into the EU and as we all know they autocrats in Brussels despises independent states...

Again, telling all foreigners East or West to FO seems to be difficult once you let one get a foothold...

In short, access to alt media (Tik Tok) does a go around of the MSM and the govts go nuts.
I keep hearing that countries like Georgia want to "join Europe" or some such. IMO the propaganda aimed at young people gives them the  impression they will become like Paris in the 1920s  and their incomes will surge if they join the EU.

Old people lived under communism and mostly ignore the govt and the MSM propaganda.

Georgescu apparently is not anti NATO but said Romania should not get involved in Ukraine. Romania is the site to a current or future huge NATO base.
