Glock32:
Well gee who coulda seen this coming?!   ::cussing::

Oh, and get a load of the way it's reported:

--- Quote ---CAIRO — Egypt is awaiting results on Thursday from its first election since its February revolution which are set to confirm moderate Islamists as the dominant force, but with a strong showing from hardliners.

The Muslim Brotherhood, a moderate Islamist movement banned for decades by Hosni Mubarak, has emerged from the shadows since the fall of the autocrat and has forecast its party will take at least 40 percent of the vote.

--- End quote ---

"Moderate Islamist"  ::cussing::    ::angry::

IronDioPriest:
Unbelievably irresponsible characterization. "Moderate". The word has no meaning if they're going to apply it to the MB.

Libertas:

Maybe?

I doubt it!!!

Glock32:
And it just occurred to me the internal contradiction with that article.  The headline says "Hardline Islamist", then the body of the article repeatedly says "Moderate Islamist" (as if). Headline writers, article writers, and editors are quite often completely different people, so this is a perfect example of how personal opinion and propaganda finds its way into the reporting of the same thing. The headline writer correctly characterized the news, but the article author had a rather different motivation being couched as objective reporting.

Glock32:
And by the way -- Obama, Hillary, and all the other wretches of the Left own this. Obama was instrumental in unseating Mubarak, and all the liberals gushed over the "Arab Spring" (subtly getting in a jab at the anti-communist Czechs with the term).

Any sane thinking person -- this automatically excludes leftists -- could see what was going to happen with this so-called Arab Spring.
